Summary:

After having spent many years in the computer service field, I decided to move into a field I have always wanted to be a part of: software development. What I have seen during my time of fixing software & hardware problems is that there is a real need for vertical market software that works, works well and does not tie a company to a particular platform.

I believe the current and emerging state of Web technologies can be used to fill that void and the power and flexibility of Drupal can be used as a solid and stable base on which to construct many of those applications.

Experience:
Flatt And Sons: 04-2007 to Present
Develop Web applications using Drupal to solve software needs. Service, repair and/or maintain all facets of Drupal Web sites and servers.
Caring Nurses, Inc.: 09-2000 to Present
Maintain all facets of computing and networking for the company from a small base of 8 workstations and 1 server to the current level of 30 workstations and 5 servers, including an Internet server that handles the Web services and e-mail for two domains. Developed a Drupal-based intranet Web site (http://www.caringnurses.net/) utilizing the Book module for internal documentation, several modules for e-mail communications and custom programming to consolidate where and how data is stored and maintained.
FlattNet.com: 09-2000 to Present
Maintain an Internet hosting server utilizing LAMP applications and the Courier-MTA e-mail server (among other programs), for a few clients' domains and several of my own, some of which are built with Drupal.
Geek Products, Inc.: 07-2003 to 03-2006
Took my previous computer servicing company to the next level by taking on partners, incorporating and targeting small & medium sized businesses with larger networks. Helped build the company to a revenue base four times that of the previous company with a client base of only 25% more than previously and with up to seven employees, using the skills of troubleshooting, problem solving and finding creative solutions to uncommon tasks. The business was sold in March of 2006.
Jason Flatt and Associates: 09-2000 to 06-2003
Built a computer servicing company by myself up from three clients to a client base of over 50, through marketing, building & maintaining good customer relations and providing excellent service. Serviced, repaired and/or maintained all facets of computing for small businesses in the Las Vegas, NV valley, including software, hardware, network and database tasks, using the skills of troubleshooting, problem solving and finding creative solutions to uncommon tasks.
2-Brothers Services, LLC: 07-1995 to 09-2000
Helped build an existing computer servicing company up from less than 50 clients to a client base of over 500 and up to eight employees, through marketing, building & maintaining good customer relations and providing excellent service. Serviced, repaired and/or maintained all facets of computing for residential & SOHO customers in the Las Vegas, NV valley, including performing software, hardware, network, database & custom programming tasks, using the skills of troubleshooting, problem solving and finding creative solutions to uncommon tasks.
Compass Point Software: 09-1992 to 06-1995
Primarily responsible for testing of a C++ rapid application framework called "app::ctor", which included a Windows-based GUI and C++ class library. Took care of customer support via telephone and the maintenance of a Mustang BBS.
